*If tested negative for Chlamydia (annually) your bird can board without additional testing. More detailed blood chemistry may be required for a sick bird.

*Two free Harrison’s Bird Food Samples, and question and answer session with Dr. Le Clear.

*Dr. Le Clear highly recommends purchasing a digital scale that will measure grams, so you may weigh your bird weekly. The first sign of an illness may only be a drop in body weight.

Things to discuss:

  1. Diet pellets, orange, pulpy, green leafy.
  2. Behavior, training with seeds and fruits, biting (common with sexually maturing/mature males), screaming, and feather picking.
  3. Out of cage daily? Shower, perch, outside walks/bike riding.
  4. Provide as much stimulation as possible: your parrot may be as smart as a 2-3 year old child.
